Front cover:
HOPELESS? HELP!
Combat hopelessness, dejection, and complacency through community involvement, volunteering, and building hope.

it’s bleak out here...
Every day LGBTQ+ people see new laws that aim to revoke their rights to life, liberty, and happiness.
States are banning our books, advocating for deadly conversion therapy, and restricting access to gender affirming care.
Young people see lawmakers that do not represent them take money from hateful organizations and pass laws that only serve their donors.
We are blasted this information through a constant stream of content on our timelines and feeds.
And it’s easy to feel hopelessness, despair, and dejection that this is the way of the world. That nothing we can do can change it.

but...
WE CAN
MAKE
CHANGE
Page 3:
Change starts with you!
While it’s not easy, we all have the ability to make change in our communities.
If you don’t have time, you can give money by donating to local non-profits that focus on LGBTQ+ issues, human rights, or the environment.
If you don’t have money you can give your time to these organizations by volunteering to plan events, write grants, fundraise, and more!

But the problems are so big!
It’s true, we are squaring up against goliaths with more money and resources who’s singular aim is to erase our voices.
But the Grand Canyon wasn’t formed in a day!! Slow and steady progress towards our security is better than dejected resignation.
WE CAN DO THIS.
WE MUST DO THIS.
